Supplied over 6,000m3 of ready mix concrete for produce washed. Mobile batching was moved to the site so SCG could provide a prompt supply of concrete to the best quality and consistency required for the client’s requirements of the mix design.
Project Challenges
Parilla Premium Potatoes Washshed projects required over 6,000m3 of ready mix concrete. Parilla being in a remote location, it was challenging to ensure a consistent supply of concrete and concrete materials.
The SCG Solution
- SCG adapted the standard production process to
guarantee a constant supply of concrete by temporarily setting up a mobile concrete plant on site due to the volume needed to ensure that there was a constant supply of concrete and that the project remained on schedule. - Our team utilised their extensive experience to devise a stocking plan that accounted for any disruptions within the supply chain.
- Excess aggregate was redirected to local projects, ensuring that all materials were used efficiently.
- The Parilla Potatoes farm now has a brand new 6,000m3 wash shed.
- With the help of the SCG team, The Parilla Potatoes Farm has increased its production capacity. Parilla Potatoes Farm now employs more than half of the company’s 450 employees at the new site.
